The Coalition for Ticket Fairness (CTF) is a New York City-based organization that advocates for fair practices in the American ticket industry, with a focus on protecting the interests of fans and season ticket holders, as well as artists and event organizers. The group consists of numerous small and medium-sized companies who handle the sale of tickets for live music, sports, and events; policymakers; consumer advocates; and other industry leaders. The Coalition for Ticket Fairness promotes many basic expectations of the ticketing industry, including the elimination of hidden fees, fair pricing practices, clear and accessible purchasing terms, and the removal of artificial purchase barriers.
The CTF was established in 2015 with the mission of changing the nation’s ticketing industry, a goal it pursues by combining the insights of industry leaders, political advocates, and passionate fans to drive change. The organization also supports various state- and federal-level initiatives that positively influence the national ticketing industry, such as bills that crack down on sales bots and ticket holdbacks.
